What do you guys feel about the Pettersson trade if Canucks were shopping him? What changes would you make.

Line 1 - This will be the hardest first line to play against. These are all shutdown defensive forwards. Kopitar and Danualt are elite two way forwards and Iafallo is great defensively as well. Teams like Oilers, Lightning, and Leafs will struggle getting through them.

Line 2 - Swedish power, I see a insane amount of chemistry between these players. Would not be surprised if each scored 30+ goals.

Line 3 - Young, fast, and talented group

Line 4 - physical presence mixed with veteran leader, underrated forward and elite prospect

No deal from Vancouver. There would have to be one big main piece. Not a bunch of small pieces coming back.

Not that it matters, Van would never trade Pettersson

They’re not necessarily small pieces. All of those players have top 6 potential. Maybe we can remove Thomas and Dolan and add Turcotte. I agree that they won’t be moving Pettersson as stated above I just wonder what they will do with the limited cap and signing Hughes & Pettersson. They will also need to extend Boeser next season and we definitely will want a raise

You're closer here. Remove one of those two and a later round pick (or both) and add Turcotte. Might get it done if they decide to sell now due to cap issues. More likely they bridge and kick the can down the road (and trade Boeser instead if needed).

Either way, a reasonable and respectable attempt.

Vancouver is not trading him, but for value, Byfield would have to be added instead of Turcotte.

Lol I’m not agreeing or disagreeing with this trade but ADDING Byfield to an already ridiculous package is just stupid.

It would be a bad trade for both teams.

The Kings have the best prospect pool in the league and you think you’re getting a true franchise #1C for those scraps? Keep dreaming

What you just said makes 0 sense. You go off by saying Kings have the best prospect. And they players I have in that list are part of the prospect pool. And then you call them scraps? Just because you are not aware of who the LA players are does not mean they’re scraps. I’m pretty sure with a little adjustments and the Canucks having interest of moving Pettersson, the deal isn’t that far off. But I don’t see Canucks moving Pettersson.

Okay, well you need to read the previous comments and the note I had before. But I’ll state it here. I mentioned that “If” Canucks were looking to shop him. That’s the first thing buddy. But the most important thing to look at is Salary Cap. I can maybe remove couple of the prospects above and add Turcotte. Someone from the Canucks need to move to free up cap space. With the limited cap they can’t afford to extend Pettersson, Hughes, and give Boeser a raise next season. They would probably move Boeser or Miller. But if they were to for whatever reason Pettersson you need to understand they will not be getting top players back. They don’t have the cap for that. Even if they move Boeser or Miller, they will get picks/prospects in return. How can I give you NHL ready pieces when Canucks can’t afford the the cap.

You won’t be able too get a better deal than what I’m offering. You can’t acquire guys with salary cap. You can’t afford it. Kings have the best prospect in the NHL. But none of it really matters because I don’t think Canucks would trade him. I’m sure he’ll be happy in LA also because come on it’s LA. Plus he gets to be with Kempe, Arvidson, Grundstrom, Bjornfot, Anderson, and ****emo. That’s a lot of Sweds in LA.

If you think he’s worth more than that…. Then idk man. A lot of people will disagree with you. This will even get you Eichel. The Kings did did not want to include Turcotte or Byfield that’s why they fell short. Turcotte I’m sure you already know. He will he a elite player, Kupari will surprise a lot of people! He’s really good. And a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.

Yes it would. You clearly don’t know the skill asset of Turcotte and Kupari. Turcotte has the potential to be better than Reinhart for example. Kupari has the potential to be better than Richard Rakell. Now add that up. But anyways our discussion here is now getting absolutely pointless.
