I think Buffalo hangs up about 30 seconds into this proposal.

What is Boston willing to give up. A lot of this extra was so that I could make the salary cap work. I would think the price would be at least Lysell and multiple firsts.

Not sure why Buffalo hangs up on it - seeing its way more than they will get when they finally move him.

Those cap dumps alone would require a large return just themselves. Plus a 50% retention on Eichel salary. You would have to sell the whole farm for a team to consider that.

I don't understand why Skinner is in this trade. He has a no move clause, plus his salary helps them hit the cap floor. Why aquire Duchene/ Johansen when you already have Skinners contract.

For what the Sabres are currently doing, this trade does not help them. The GM in Buffalo would be out of the job the next day.
