Maybe 1 for 1.
I personally wouldn't touch Kadri, but the idea has merit.

Drouin is not someone the avs would want, especially at the cost of our 2C... and if we remember anything from drouin in MTL... he can't play centre

I personally wouldn't touch Drouin, but it's not the worst trade I've seen...

not a bad idea. don't need to add a 2nd pick. People forget Drouin is an above average player and playing with Mckinnon would be good for Dru.

Avs would rather have a hole on the wing than a hole at 2C

Drouin until he plays has literally zero value, and why would COL want a more expensive wing over a 2C that mans the spot till Newhook is ready. Easy easy pass.

Except nobody knows if he wants to play and makes more than Kadri. You could say that for any wing in the league that it would be good to play with MacKinnon. Easy no even with the pick, a laugh and hang up without it.

I worked with both of them when they played in Halifax in 2013. Their chemistry was amazing

They'll have a hole at 2C in the playoffs anyway. squinting with tongue out

You clearly are biased, Drouin didn't "quit" on the team, some reports are a suicide attempt others are that he was so depressed he locked himself in his hotel rooms on road trips for days on end and only came out for games. Someone suffering from a mental health issue like this isn't considered to have "quit" on his team. His life and well being need to come before the team. Get the facts before you spread your hate everywhere.

When we aren't given a reason, I consider it personal enough that I shouldn't know the reason, so I never looked into it or paid any attention to the speculation. I only hope he's able to overcome it.

I don’t doubt that, but COL isn’t trading their 2C for a winger that makes more money and left the team in the playoffs for unknown reasons. Realistically in negotiations with any team is going to use that and diminished production and a very healthy cap number against them. I don’t think anybody disputes his raw talents and I also think it’s indisputable that compared to those taken around him in the draft he has been a disappointment.

So his refusal to accept an assignment and go home instead wasn't me first? Patterns bro.
