I would’ve went with 2.25x3, but this is alright. I hope Dickinson does well in Vancouver.

I was seeing $2.5 million to $3 million over two years as an acceptable contract, so this is a solid deal.

They were all UFA’s. Heiskanen got about 8.5 and Makar got 9, I can’t see Hughes having more leverage than both of them.

Slight overpay as 2mill x 3 should have been the contract

Benning did the wrong thing here signing everyone else but his 2 stars. That sends a very bad message. Plus their agent is notorious for getting his boys paid. So by my guess were probs gonna see a Barzel deal for Petterson and either a long term expensive deal for Hughes or a 2 year 5mill deal.

Expect Boeser to be moved to make room for their next deals

Hes a good bottom 6 guy but 2mill should have been the price point considering his QA was 1.6mill

If he has a bad season, they'll be stuck with his cap hit and nobody will touch this contract. I thought JB was done overpaying bottom six forwards?
