Description

I put the value of Georgiev at about a second and the value of dumping Koskinen at a second. I feel like a first gets it done then they at least have an extra pick, although not as good. Rangers would probably be more interested in the first to try and get a better quality player instead of two mediocre players depending how they draft.

The rangers are in such a tight cap situation and with the bottom 6 already filled out and completed Kassian would be a very expensive scratch most nights, the first is enticing but Kassian just doesn't make sense for the Rangers.

Cap space wise, Rangers are a little tight but they do have room. Question truly is if they are going after a big fish top 6 player, do they have the cap space to add on Koskinen $2M cap hit over AG? The first does make it tempting even if it could be in the mid 20s.

I think they have the space this year. I'm not sure what kind of big fish player they need? Unless they do get Eichel somehow. That said, as long as the extra 2M in cap doesn't affect that potential player acquisition, the first round pick would definitely help getting that player. Or just using it to add to the prospect pool.

Don't need to worry about resigning him at all really if they don't want him. Find another cheap veteran back up for shesterkin. But in sure if they wanted to keep him, he would be a good back up of he signs for around a mill.
