True steal of a contract. He was the main reason the Preds made the playoffs. Should’ve been nominated for the Vezina last season.

I thought Pelech was the best signing this off season. This one tops it. Impressive. This guy will be in the same conversations as Helly and Gibson over and over.

Looking like a top 5 goaltender in the league, and the Preds get him at #17 in cap hit. Great deal, Probably the best goaltender contract in the NHL right now.

Absolute steal. Saros was one of, if not the best goalie in the entire league last season. He carried Nashville to the playoffs and gave the team some life.

I cannot believe Saros didn't get more. This may be one of the best signings of the offseason, this guy single handedly carried Nashville to the playoffs. He is a remarkable goalie and a guy like Askarov would be very lucky to grow alongside him

The only knock against Saros is his lack of post-season success, and you can't really blame him for that. He's had some off games in the past few years, but last year he was amazing in the playoffs.

Goalies are so streaky, ain't no one gonna know if this is good or bad for 2 years.
They can have a great year one year and then the next total garbage. It's a crap shoot.

I did. Way to streaky and very injury prone. Either less value in dollars or shorter term
