Why would we trade our best RD prospect and a third round pick for a guy who’s gonna be on our fourth line and a guy who doesn’t even make our lineup?

I feel like chalking up debrusk as a fourth liner at this point is rather absurd. Might he continue to regress at 24? Sure. Is it likely? No. Let’s not make the Canucks out to be some wagon that can’t take on anything but elite forwards. Let’s also not pretend that woo is anything.

DeBrusk isn’t a fourth liner but our top 9 really doesn’t have any room for him. Woo can potentially become a top 6 defender on our team and we really don’t have anyone else after him so it’s better to keep him instead of trading him for a guy who we really have no use for.
