I think it’ll take a payoff for Minnesota to take zucker again. Maybe not a 1st and blue chip prospect again, but it’ll cost to trade him.

If pens had any intention to trade Malkin or LeTang now is the time. They’ve been declining steadily (by the eye test) for a while now and Malkin didn’t look like he was trying at all in the playoffs. Best to trade while their reputations are intact.

Yeah, a rebuilding team will trade their 1C + picks for an injured over the hill vet

Delusional trade, OTT declines

Why would Ottawa trade their best Center for a Dman who is 12 years older than he is?

Hard pass from the Blues. Don't need a center, can't afford this, not trading a huge basket of young talent for a 36-year-old with one year on his contract.

Malkin just had surgery on his knee and was playing with a terrible injury, so that "not trying" is complete BS. He truthfully shouldn't have even come back at all.

Letang? If Letang's decline is 45 points in 55 games averaging over 24 minutes a game then may every player in the NHL decline that way.

If the pittsburgh goalies do what the philly goalies did last year and the penguins are out of contention and Ottawa ascends maybe that deal could happen

But does ottawa do that deal (nay)

So uh Confused

LOL yeah, that's a bad move by the Pens. Rust is definitely worth more.

That Dumoulin trade is atrocious as well. Two years of Dumo has MAJOR value.

Pens get more for rust, they aren’t trading Carter for less than they traded for him considering he turned it up and upped his value with the pens. No way right now does Malkin get more than Letang. Dumoulin is worth way more to the pens.

So many of you you guys have the team making deals with six teams and ending up with 15 draft picks next year; you must be delusional. Most of the players you mentioned will likely get extensions (especially Rust) and finish their careers in Pittsburgh. I'm surprised that you didn't trade Crosby.
