This kills colorado for the next year, 10 mil in cap space to sign mack, newhook, byram, jost ranta and kaut. No need for half the contracts really. I like trochek he's a solid addition but nametnikov, paul, acciari can all be filled with depth and murphy would be a nice addition but byram will be getting top 4 minutes by this time so it doesn't work plus we will need that 4 mil

09 hurt and I became a Caps fan when we moved to DC for 5-6 years which was during the heat of that rivalry and seeing the pens generally getting the best of the caps up until they won their cup. Trocheck doesn't leave Carolina without a Hamilton-esque margin of overpayment by another club. This isn't it IMO. They might let him get a contract elsewhere, however, if it goes up to something like a 7x7M or something equivalent to that.
