I think Kukan is on your bottom pair. Boqvist and Peeke are your top four easily.

The center position will kill this team though.

Either way, I think Jarmo did a hell of a job this off-season and he still is one of the best GMs in the league. The Seth Jones trade was trade rape.

I agree on all points except kukan. While I agree boqvist and peeke are the future in the top 4. We don’t need to rush them. Let kukan who is steadier (still not great) play top minutes and sink or swim. We don’t want to rush the young guys into roles there not ready for.

As for center. Domi being out with an already thin blue line kills us. I’d rather move a smaller piece out or flip domi for a younger/ prime aged middle 6 center who can help facilitate and give some support to the young centers.

Peeke is absolutely not guaranteed a top 4 role. Last season he looked shaky at best and from the contract the team gave him they obviously think he needs time in the AHL too. It’s A lot like Carlsson situation, who is more likely to win a spot that Peeke this year IMO.

IMO opinion, Werenski, Gavrikov, Boqvist and Bean seem like they all will deserve top-4 minutes this season.

The third pair will be a carousel. Or a revolving door, or whatever.
