According to this article: https://thehockeywriters.com/panthers-news-rumors-barkov-extension-vatrano/

Florida has a need for left sided defense and the they're shopping Vatrano and Acciari so I figured I'd do a trade based on this.

Prob selling low on Rielly.

Seattle doesn't do the Dunn deal even if you drop the 3rd. They have a glut of dmen but they're not going to trade a valuable one for scraps. Kerfoot is a fine player but Dunn is more valuable and Engvall has no value.

You're probably right about Dunn. Do you think there's any deal the Leafs could make to pry him away from Seattle?

What would you say is a fair Reilly trade? Like, how much do you think you can get off of it?

a good D man prospect (better than a liljegren or sandin) a first and a bottom 4 guy at least or a second instead of a bottom 4 pairing guy

look at the seth jones trade, him and riley are similar in value, riley would get a little bit of a smaller haul than jones, but still significant

I know, but Dubas isn't as talented as getting those kind of trades like the CBJ GM is. What Columbus got was amazing and it made Chicago look like fools.

Would imagine Kerfoot, 2nd, 4th gets it done.

Dubas got Muzzin for Bjornfot, Durzi and Grundstrom. None of those three are anything significant as of now, and the only that really the potential to be is Bjornfot.

He also got a 3C/2LW and a #2 (at the time) dman for Kadri. Barrie didn’t work out but Kerfoot as been amazing. Arguably better than Kadri.

He got Amirov + Hallander for Kapanen….

He then traded Hallander for McCann, which allowed us to keep Kerfoot and Holl.

He got Hirvonen and Niemela for Tyler Klevens.

He got our STARTING GOALIE for 2 3rds and Moore.

He got Sandin and SDA for Dominik Bokk.

I am pretty sure he is also the guy (interim at the time) who got Hyman and a 7th for Greg McKegg.

So I’m not sure what “talent” you’ve been watching, but the only bad trade Dubas has made is the Foligno trade. And even that trade looked good at the time.

I don't see the leafs trading Rielly to anyone in their division, the same is to be said about all teams with a playoff rival.

In the real world, the same as Seth Jones. On Cap Friendly, a 2nd is an overpayment.

Last year the Kadri trade looked like a loss. This year it doesn't look so bad afterall. Especially playoffs. Kerfoot has been fantastic I agree.

I consider myself schooled.

I wasn't saying that Dubas is a bad GM, I was just saying that I doubt that he can get the kind of return for Reilly that the CBJ GM got for Seth Jones.

Kadri during Barrie year and when Kadri was doing bits in the playoffs we lost. This year we're winning
