opening night roster

Description
what I think opening night roster will look like...based off literal assumptions.

- Poehling proves he should at least be on the opening night roster, I think he can work for that 4th line C and then Habs trade for a third line C at the deadline if Evans or Poehling can't be that guy.
- Norlinder is looking real good and can definitely make it out of camp and it seems like signs are pointing to him doing just that. Norlinder-Romanov can be an underrated pairing

Anaheim could use a depth D. I don't see the room for Kulak and why keep him if his cap can be used elsewhere...

  1. Kulak, Brett

I also dislike Kulak very much...

I doubt they put two 21 year old together, MTL seems to have a tough time trusting 1 young guy per line can't see them having a pair like that.

Swap Evans to 4th and Poehling to 3rd and I think you're good, Evans is better then Poehling rn but Poehlings upside is his offence which would be better used with a winger combination of Droui/Anderson/Gally or Hoffman

What's not to like about Kulak?
He's a positive influence on the ice and performs well considering his limited role. That's despite being paired with partners who are often in need of sheltering.
He's not particularly notable in any one area, but neither is he lacking.

I agree and see him as a good 7th D. He has value and I would keep him for the final year of his contract as a depth player. I don't think we need to trade him and we would not get much return, so just keep the known quantity you have.

IMO he is better than Wideman and Ouellet. We will have injuries and we will need depth.
