Leafs also decline. Letang would be nice but Rielly Brodie muzzin Holl. Muzzin Letang would be fine but all for that for one year of Letang isn't worth it. Retention is only there is fit under cap for this year

probably the only one who declines!
people wish to see geno or tanger with other teams but it won't happen
they will retire as pens

plus not toronto nor florida would ever decline, maybe toronto maybe but florida would need to add another pick

Leafs are tired of not having 1sts. Plus that's technically 3 1sts your sending for 1 year of a player because why would want to be in Canada. Not to mention after he leaves Dermott or lilijgren would be his replacement because after them it's no one

Leafs easily decline at that offer. You're not getting two of our best prospects and a first for a 34 year old

Buddy who are your trying to impress?

Just because Letang is "better" then any leafs dman doesn't mean he's more valuable. Ask around and I think youll find teams would rather trade for Rielly, Brodie or Muzzin before Letang based solely on injury history alone. I'm not saying Letang is bad but you really gotta get your head out your own ass

Actually I am only commenting on one and think while he was a great player. He at 34 is an aging asset. Florida isn't giving up Tippet, Vatrano and 2 early picks for.

the thing is that you should aim for a cup if you are the panthers and with a healthy geno you go from a team with potential to a team that can win it all.... and has good chances to win it all....

imagine a team of:

verhaeghe--barkov--reinhart
huberdeau--malkin--horni
duclair--lundell--bennet
and goes on

trust me that once you win the cup you don't care about futures and if youre a bolts fan you should know

As a lightning fan I understand winning the cup and that's a really bad deal for them..... What is this mythical thing you write of "a healthy Malkin". He's played 1 full season since 2013

so basically you are telling me that since 2013 he wasn't a factor? I'm starting to wonder if you have ever seen malkin play he has been the second best player in the league till 2018.....

plus that trade is clearly at the TDL otherwise pit isn't retaining 4mil so he would need to be healthy for roughly 3 months he can manage that

66/82 in 18/19 55/71 in 19/20 33/56 in 20/21
2 goals in 12 playoff games in those 3 years ...I've seen Malkin but no way should Florida overpay like that for a 3 month rental. What he did when he was 30 doesn't mean that's what he'll do at 35. He's played 12 of Pittsburgh's last 22 games?

Retain half of Malkin and you could probably get a 1st round pick. He's old and has only one year on his contract

Great discussion boys. There are trades there just have to find the right pieces that could possibly put both teams over the top for a great cup run. The key to either trade is success in the playoffs, of course nothing is guaranteed but both players have had success in the playoffs.
