Seattle has an agreement with the Charlotte Checkers to put their prospects there in addition to the Florida Panthers prospects just for this season while the Palm Springs arena gets built
Do you guys know, is Palm springs or where ever Seattle's ahl team is playing this year? I thought they weren't playing until next year.
Nah, they won't play there till 22-23. For now they have an agreement with the Checkers and will share them as an affiliate with the panthers. That's why bhavikp said that's he's gotta right with Gibson (panthers), Montembeault (panthers), and Daccord (kraken) for the starter or backup role this season in Charlotte.
They start playing next year. Seattle will share the Charlotte Checkers with the Panthers this season.

That makes a lot of sense. I didn't understand when there was Gibson and Montembeault after I checked capfriendly's Seattle page and they didn't have those guys.
13.11 No Loans to East Coast Hockey League. A Player who is not in the Entry Level System
may not be Loaned to the East Coast Hockey League without his consent.
Found this in the CBA after some research. So he's not ECHL bound unless he wants to be (and why would he want to be).

He could end up not playing at all so he should give his consent. One option is to loan him to another AHL team.
