You are...completely correct. Value for DeBrusk is about right here. A 2nd. Would rather see Boston keep him for now.

A 2nd for boston is equivalent to nothing. They’re in win now mode with a rebuild/re-tool on the horizon.

I think the idea is use Debrusk (and his salary) and add picks/prospects to him for a 2C - I can’t see many teams doing a straight up deal for Jake.

Oilers fans. They don’t intend to trade Debrusk 1 for 1 for a C2…it’s called a package, as in he’d be one piece of it.

I have told Oilers fans for 18 months…you are not a good trade partner for Debrusk. You have nothing we want. 🤷🏻‍♂️

They talked last offseason about a multiplayer deal involving Debrusk and Nurse. It fell through.

If Boston decides to take futures just to clear salary then maybe. Obviously you would have to do the same to make room for him. Kemp, Lavoie, picks could be pieces that would work in that scenario. But i think Boston is going to stand pat and see if Coyle/Haula/Studnicka can handle middle 6 center as they still will need to make room for Rask as well.
