Description
Isles Fans, I assume that Wahlstrom (still C capable imo) takes his place as a 2C and you get some cap relief. If that is not the case, feel free to correct me with that and with the value.

This is an awful trade for the Islanders that they would never make. Wahlstrom isn't a center, he's a right wing.

We wouldn't be good trade partners for Nelson.

If the Islanders were not cup-favorites and perennial contenders, they might consider trading Nelson but he's too valuable to them right now.

Buffalo fans say he s about to have a breakout year and they dont wanna lose him if Eichel is gone. I am now leaning towards Chytil or Zacha. WDYT

Zacha is better offensively as a winger.
At least he has been in NJ (18 pts in 17 gp as wing this year).

Chytil would be hard since Rangers also need a center.

Guys I would be looking at....

Trochek
Dvorak
Copp
Wennberg
Monahan

I think the last time Wahlstrom played center was when he was 16. His skillset is best utilized on rw

Thank you for the recommendation. Would be kinda smart to take Torchek as a FA next year. But I want Kaprizov to be a ppg player this year to sell high on him. Thats why I am searching for a good C. Would not be disappointed to take Wright/Savoie/Lambert either ).

I still think doing a trade for one of the stromes*, possible involving geeenway going back would make sense. Would give us the same “need to resign him” situation but we’d be dealing with a center instead a wing that could go either way.

Would be a great option for the brand new Iowa Heartlanders in the ECHL.

Nelson has put up low end 1C numbers the past 2/3 years. Not dealing him for a pile of scraps.

Okposo is all heart, hustle, and grind so absolutely would be a prime face for the franchise

As an added plus (or maybe minus?) he and GMBG were linemates (briefly) in NYI.
