Description
I know they are but I'm just posing a scenario that they are in fact wrong and we haven't necessarily signed everyone or to those contracts.

Tarasenko is on the 3rd line as a sort of trial. If he isn't back to pre-injury VT, then he'll still be a solid 2 way winger (perfect for the 3rd line) and if he does return to form he can be moved up in the lineup.

I gave a little extra probably (total between acquisition and retention) just so I don't get all the we need another 7th round pick comments lol. But I would be happy if this was the offseason going forward.

Also this is how I would be interested in tank. He has too many question marks to replace a top 6 F with. I got him in a low risk high reward situation. That's the only deal I'd be interested in, where if he busts our top 6 is still intact.

yup obviously i would want more for him as a blues fan but i think the plan rn is to basiaclly showcase him
Hope he plays well and then trade him for a premium and if he doenst you guys may be able to trade less for him but still pay a team for retention.
As well i dont think AZ has a retention spot left but could be wrong

It could be any team I just chose Arizona so that it doesn't look like I made another trade before you click on the team because I already made a deal with them.

This would make sense if Parise wasn’t signed

Arizona only has one retention slot left right now so that's probably reserved for a future Kessel deal, I know the team doesn't matter. Also I think you are a bit low in payment for retention, Bellows is interesting but I don't think he's a good all around player. Can put they puck in the net that's forsure. Probably have to pay a bit more since he has two years remaining so that's holding a retention slot for two years but I don't think you are too far off.

I think your trade proposal is reasonable and I would take the risk on Tarasenko at that cap hit, but unfortunately Parise didn’t sign with the Isles to be the 13 F. I heard he was stubborn and even hated being on the 4th line in Minnesota, so I was just saying the trade makes sense if Parise wasn’t signed. Because he is, the only way a Tarasenko trade makes sense now is if Bailey goes the other way.

Ok then don't sign Parise, sign someone like Donato to be the 13 forward.

I don't think Bellows and a 3rd buys you $3.75M for two years (would need give more) but like the concept of the trade. As a Blues fan, I'd rather have Bolduc thank Wilde but understand if that is not doable.
