Colorado won't be able to afford him. But Calgary declines anyway

Col is not going to trade their 2C and then the guy that they hope is going to replace him for a winger. A good winger, but whos he suppose to line up with? Next choice is Jost. He is coming into a solid BOTTOM 6 C. Avs would get the better player in the deal but be a worse team for the move.

Edmonton is only trading koskinen for a starter not another backup he's perfectly fine in a backup role.

And already have Stalock as a 3rd string... at the very least wouldn't be getting Dell back.

If Oilers were to trade a first for a cap dump they would've been more likely to do it earlier in the offseason and lose the pick in the shallower of the two drafts.

Smith isn't worth a 1st and Koskinen is better than Dell. The Oilers decline.

What’s the impetus for COL to do that? I mean sure create a gaping hole at 2C trade away the only 1st rd pick you have in the next 2 years and be on the hook for a new contract for Tkachuk. Ridiculous.
