This is how I think the team would look today with no trades, just GMTM draft picks( I don't feel like speculating who he'd pick 2018-2021 ), contract extensions, and UFA. Ignore the salary cap for now, these contracts would look different

I've singed UFA's I think he would have gone after from 2018-2021
I've also signed players i think he would have kept after 2017

I think E. Kane gets traded either way, he's gone

He paid a first for Lehner, he does his best to keep him. With UPL and Lehner I think he trades Ullmark

Mccabe is someone I think he would have paid to keep

JVR is that front of the net presence, grinding type of player with offensive upside that he liked. (Evander Kane replacement)

Pominville signs a 3 year 9 million dollar contract that expires in 2021. I believe he would still be a consistent 25-30ish point player for the duration of this contract.

No chance he trades Risto lol

Keeps Bogo on a 750-925k 1-2 year deal

Guhle, Borgen, Nylander, Bryson all fight to keep a roster spot - this is also dependent on the 2018-2021 draft results after Murray makes his pick of course; they could be pushed way down the depth charts

Not sure if this team makes the playoffs, sure is better than what they have now though.
