Harry Potter. Liked Hunger Games too, but the 3rd one was pretty weak, imo.

Agreed.

Weak but lots of deaths from main/supporting characters.

Ex: Snow, Coin, Odair, Everdeen.

Lord of the Rings (although you could argue it doesn't count, as it's not really a series).

I originally read the first book for school years ago, but I've recently decided to pick up reading the entire series - I am currently halfway through the 3rd book. It's a bit silly at times, but it's still good fun to read.

There is a movie made for the first book. I'd recommend watching it after you have read the first book since it helps put a face to some of the characters.

Finished the series awhile ago, but wow... what a final 2 books. From what I read it sounds like the author was dealing with some things mentally whenever he wrote them. Interesting finale to say the least.

Did you ever check it out @Tntpod ?

Sorta.
I recognize the green alien on the book cover photos.
I'm probably gonna buy it soon.
It looks pretty promising.

If you're a fan of fantasy, I cannot recommend the Inheritance Cycle (the Eragon series) enough. The movie was an absolute farce and the second book has the misfortune of having to supply a ton of exposition for the rest of the story (bit of a slog) but all four books are just excellent.

Also, for the fellow Star Wars fans, the two canon Thrawn trilogies are masterpieces and may or may not be setting up the next major phase in that universe, filling the gap between Mando and TFA.

I can confirm the Eragon series is a great series, whether read in French or English.

Some of my favourite English book series I’ve read include classics like Harry Potter, Hobbit + LOTR.

The Arc of a Scythe series is a masterpiece, but at some points they could be a lot. Took me a while to get through them, especially the 3rd book.

Have you had the chance to pick up Murtagh yet? I knocked off the "Tales From Alagaesia" set of short stories as prelude to it. From what I understand Paolini isn't intending for Murtagh to be "Book 5" of the series (and later stated that that story hasn't been written yet).

No I haven’t, I read the Tales from Alagaesia but I didn’t know there was a new book, I’ll have to check it out

Only a trilogy but the best of everything I've ever read is The Heaven Tree trilogy by Edith Pargeter:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edith_Pargeter?wprov=sfla1

And for actual series is:

Also the Book of Three by Lloyd Alexander:
