Right now, Eichel value is 0. Until the neck surgery, 0 team will trade for him.

Would you trade 4 1st round for McDavid if he won't play 1 game for your team? The Eichel surgery is very important, nobody knows what coul happens...

If my team was already a contender, had the cap space and had my next 4 first rounders I would trade them for McDavid if there was even a 5% chance he can return to form

People acting like Eichel will never play again just because he has to have surgery. The most likely scenario is that he gets surgery recovers like a monster because that's what athletes in peak condition do and then he'll come back and play lights out. Anyone who thinks Eichel is worth nothing wants him on their team so bad because even after a insane surgery he'll still be better then their 1C

I really don't believe you. I think there's a ton of interest in Eichel and rightfully so but teams are understandably hesitant to part with major assets

I agree his value is significantly lower atm than we see purposed on this site. It’s very hard to project his value without the ability to find out as much as possible with medical staff.

the surgery has a 90% success rate, and if it fails he can go with traditional fusion. Thats better odds than ACL surgery, and you wouldnt bat an eye if a player needed one of those. Also the 4 first rounders thing was never the asking price, just speculation

I think the reason a move hasn't been made is that Buffalo has minimal leverage in this situation so they're getting low offers. As a result, the Sabres haven't moved him yet. I'm sure there's some hesitancy due to his health but I think the major logjam is due to teams trying to fleece more than anything.

As for my earlier statement I stand by it, I would move major assets for Eichel or McDavid even if there was considerable doubt about their health. Should also note that as good as Eichel is (top 10 player in the league at worst) he's not McDavid, I would trade 4 expected late first round picks for a chance at McDavid in a heartbeat.
