Oilers pass. They might be looking at a rental at the deadline (if there's an RD injury) but Holl has another year left so he's not going to be on the radar.

At this point I think most Detroit fans would be more than happy with a 3rd and that's with Detroit retaining 50%

I find it funny that popular spare parts Engvall and Mikheyev get moved for another spare part in Namestnikov in a deal that has no reason to happen, but just to give this deal a reason to happen a 2nd rounder is used, shifting the value significantly in Detroit's favor for an ultimately lateral move.

edmonton can't make a trade without sending equal salary back. The Holl salary doesn't fit next year and they dont need anymore defencemen in the fold.
