If Nurse get's 9.25. Jones gets 9.5. McAvoy is worth 11.

However it's the Bruins. So they will magically sign him for 6 million.

Seth Jones got 8 x $9,500,000 McAvoy 20 times better then Jones try more like 8 x $11,000,000 for Charlie McAvoy And signing a 37 year old Bergeron for 5 years at the same current AAV is insane.

As a not bruins fan, I agree that Mcavoy is worth $11M as well. Realistically though he will take $8M AAV to screw the rest of the league...

send Wagner and Moore to the AHL and you'll gain $2.25 million in cap space.

Why are you giving 5 years to a 37 year old Bergeron?

I know the bruins have this reputation of getting everyone under market, but mcavoy should be 11 million.

Bergeron has 1 year incentive laden deals going forward written all over him.

You really stuck the word realistically in there?

I think it would be under 2 million, but there’s a strong case to be made that they should do that.

I just hope he doesn’t do his best Erik Karlsson impression

I guess McAvoy's future leverage will be would other teams will offer him. The Hawks and Oilers seemed to overpay their two guys in 22/23 and beyond. I just wonder how much cap is available for the other UFA (and RFA) signing next year, especially in a almost flat cap league.

Ah shoot, kinda forgot it was a year ahead. Losing foligno, haula, nosek, Wagner, and Moore makes that far more manageable

Yeah but they all have to be replaced/re-signed not to mention debrusk could rebound and Clifton/Swayman could get a raise

As to the replacements: yes and no. Moore won’t have to be replaced. I doubt they’ll replace foligno with someone of similar cost, and by this point in time some of the bruins prospects should be ready to make a play for 3rd line positions.

As for raises, if debrusk bounces back, my guess is he gets qualified, and they kick the problem a year down the road. With the inconsistency he’s shown, i doubt they, or any other team commits to him long term.

Clifton may deserve a raise, but the bruins MO has been to let their depth walk after their second contract. If swayman is getting a hefty raise, it’s likely because he stole the starters job, so ullmark might be moved.

Furthermore, I find it highly unlikely bergeron costs that much. He just doesn’t seem like the type, right? My guess is he takes performance bonuses and his cap hit is actually pretty low.

I have him in the same category as Ovi in the super elite. Age doesn’t really play a role. Habs would give him that.
