A trade between Washington Capitals and St. Louis Blues has been confirmed.
Trade Details
St. Louis Blues Acquire:
St. Louis Blues
2017 1st round pick (WSH - #27 - Morgan Frost)
2019 conditional 2nd round pick* (WSH - #56)
*Conditions: If Capitals re-sign Shattenkirk or advance to 2016/17 Eastern Conference Finals and if Shattenkirk plays in 50% of the first two rounds, Blues receive 2019 2nd round draft pick. If Capitals trade Shattenkirk on or before July 1, 2017; Blues receive a 7th round draft pick. However, should the return in a trade be a 4th round pick or earlier; instead of the 7th round pick, Blues receive next available pick two rounds later than the earliest pick received by the Capitals.

Result: Conditions not met. Capitals retain their 2019 2nd round pick.

Ready to see what another right-handed defenseman will be able to do on the power-play.

So did WSH really win this trade? I mean St. Louis made it just as far without Shattenkirk and added a 1st + prospects. I mean maybe STL loses to themselves cause they maybe beat NSH with Shattenkirk in the line-up. Either way, WSH did not win this trade when the dust settled HAHA
