Injuries tend to do that. Think of it like this, what if EP40 actually played the full season instead of going on LTIR when he got hurt. That's basically what Monahan did

Not if it means moving KK.
Monahan could be insurance for 2 years while we decide which one to keep, but KK needs to have opportunity as 2C in order to develop. He's improved other aspects of his game the last 2 years and the offense should follow.
