Description

Based on Keith retiring, which adds nearly $9M in cap space, Kassian traded after a 15-goal season and Smith on LTIR with a tweaked groin.

Before you freak out, no I don't expect Barkov to sign in Edmonton to be their 3C. I just created a bunch of cap space so I decided to have a little fun.

Draisaitl was paid before he had those breakout seasons. FLA will probably give Barkov 11+.

Barkov will never make it to UFA. He's going to sign long-term with a Florida team that actually has a chance to win in the near future. Edmonton should really focus their dollars to Defense cause that defense is ....yeesh.

Well could just load up Leon with mcdavid bump Barkov up to second line between those two lines could play 40 minutes a night not counting pp time. Then all the bottom six needs to do is kill penalties and cover 10 minutes or so 5-5.

Yeah, that's true. But if Duncan Keith retires next summer with 1 year left on his deal, Chicago gets a cap recapture penalty of about $3.5M while Edmonton gets a recapture benefit of same. So I added that to the "cap space" on top of the rumored $82.5M cap limit.
