I don't see Buffalo moving on from one of the young core pieces. They are rebuilding, so why move on from a 21 yr old former 1st overall pick.

He's probably going to be 7+ for 8 years, based on how all those young defenseman are signing for.

I heard like everybody else he is unhappy in Buffalo and I don't think he signs right now for 8 years at 10 per , it is more likely a 3 year bridge deal at 5 or 6 per and when that's done hopefully the cap ceiling will go up , if you trade out Reilly it could work. It is contingent on him willing to stick it out in Buffalo.

Most are signing for 9m per so i wouldn’t think he would be far off, 8x8.5 is my thought
