You severely undervalue Leon Draisaitl. Also no, Edmonton never so much as thinks about getting that much worse at C for so little coming back

little coming back... Young C in KK with two top 6 wingers... it is not Marner but still top wingers on Edm roster

Or, hear me out, Edmonton keeps a top 5 player in the league in Draisaitl. Edmonton's forward group is not the issue for them, it consists of the best player in the league and also a top 5 player in the league. They have viable options down the wings as well. What they need is defense, as 50% of their defense core is made up of a 38 year old Duncan Keith, Tyson Barrie, and Cody Ceci. See the issue there?

Interesting trade idea

I like it conceptually definitely

Seems pretty low in terms of value for Drais tho

That's right I forgot about the goaltending situation. If only there were a good goalie Holland could've drafted

Top 5 scorer for sure but like...

I think Draisaitl is closer to being a top 50 player than a top 5 player given his defensive impact (truly awful 7th percentile xGA) and various other factors

McDavid PP boost, good not great Corsi rel, etc.

Tomas Tatar has posted much better SKATR charts recently for instance and if Bjorkstrand and Draisaitl switched PP units things would be very different

Draisaitl's trade value being ~= to Eichel's seems ok

So this offer is just three 1st rounders instead of 4

I'd argue the upgrade of Drouin + Allen > Koskinen is worth a late 1st in itself on top of JKK being worth like a 7th overall pick and Toffoli worth maybe an 18th
