Toronto seasons have been going like this:

Off season: Acquires fringe third line but really a fourth liner veteran who hasn’t won a cup on a cheap contract.

Season: Offense looks dominant and the team appear to be ready for a good playoff push

Playoffs: The big money players disappear and Toronto begins search for new veteran player in hope of them being the “missing link”

Just a rude opinion but Toronto has to change their game plan at some point.

thats what i think as well. as a leaf fan i would like to see a strong but also talented players to support the stars... more guys like ritchie, simmonds and lawson crouse... we need size with dmen that dont like getting burned

So on what line does mikheyev play on in Edmonton?
There’s Hyman, RNH, Foegele on LW and Puljujarvi, Yamamoto, Kassian, Archibald on RW that Mikheyev won’t push out of the lineup.

Why pay a 3rd for an upgrade on 4LW Shore? Even then is Mikheyev as defensively responsible as Shore? Cause that’s what’s really needed there.
