If you ask me, it's a little bit of an overpay, but I do see what you're going for.

Maybe the value is fair, but Caps don't need those pieces. Their LW/RW- and LD-depth is fine - however, they're lacking depth at C.

Too much. I’m not sure why Washington would be willing to trade roster players, and Eller isn’t that much better than Evans, so there’s no reason to trade for him.

Eller would be awesome for MTL right now, however I don't see why the caps would trade him.

Imagine Eller and Armia together on the 4th line? Add Teasdale in there and they'd be possession beasts haha

I think it's an overpay slightly by only one piece in that trade imo but I don't see this happening.

Pretty sure at this rate Evans will be better than Eller by the end of the season or end of next season so I agree, no reason to trade for him.

I don't Washington considers this trade although the value is there at a player level. Just not what they need unless they want to start rebuilding or have a line on another C and RD that can be an upgrade. But with those being the hardest positions to come by Montreal would most likely have to give up alot more to pry them out of there. And with Ovechkin resigning for 4 more years, they aren't going into rebuild mode any time soon.

I think it’s already been summed up by the rest of the comments. Straight value wise, it’s close, maybe a slight overpay. Depends on how good Brook turns out to be. Both teams probably say no because it doesn’t make sense for MTL to give up that much for that return and it doesn’t make sense for WSH to give those guys up right now.
