Bjorkstrand is a top line winger on a bargain contract for the next 5 years. He’s only 26 and CBJ should be good in 2 years. He’d cost at least a 1st , Robertson, and Liljeren

Columbus isn’t moving their best player who hasn’t played a game on his long term contract and seemingly wants to be in Columbus. It would take a massive overpayment to pry him out of Columbus.

Cancuks can't afford Rielly.

We're paying to get back a guy we got to protect the guy we are also trading for him ?

CBJ won't trade bjorkstrand unless they are going full year down rebuild. (Which they won't)

lol you aren't getting multiple 1sts for Rielly and Vancouver isn't interested regardless. Maybe put in a little effort and actually look at the other team's roster before making a stupid trade

Vancouver can’t afford nor do they want Rielly.

We acquired McCann for the sole purpose of keeping Kerfoot. Why would we trade him + a 2nd just for McCann when we paid less than that in the first place?

Bjorkstrand is very likely CBJ’s best player, why would they trade him for just a late 1st and 3rd?

As has been stated cbj isn’t trading bjorkstrand and definitely not for a single first and third. He’s not for sale so there’s no point in discussing.

Let's assume for the purposes of this discussion that your trade values aren't way off, that these players were all available, and that you in fact succeeded in making these trades.

How have you improved a team that couldn't win a first-round series last year by subtracting Morgan Rielly from the defense and adding Zdeno Chara in his place?
