Of Course MB would do this. Why wouldn't he give up 1 good prospect with (2) LATE 1sts. It's Jack Eichel. Eichel would be outstanding on that team. BUF in no way shape or form should do this trade.

Caufield and picks #25 and #32 isn't worth giving up Eichel.

I don't think Montreal gives up CC, like you said though we have the winger depth to trade one and RN Anderson, Toffoli and Drouin all have enough value with 2 1sts to land a really really good center.

i think he keeps caufield and goes for a reliable centerman like dvorak. suzuki is their first line C... let him grow into a star without hurting their assets

Why would a rebuilding buffalo want older wingers making big money?

I mean...if they had Eichel and Suzuki down the middle...it's entirely possible, but I hear ya. The Atlantic is tough at the top

I think after this trade they still miss the playoffs.

I'd be shocked if Montreal's own pick was later than #14.

Montreal is very unlikely to make playoffs.

Not Eichel, we could keep Caufield and trade for say Monahan, Dvorak or any number of 2C available for 2 1sts and a Winger.

Yes but the thread and proposal is about Montreal getting Eichel

How would you do that without Caufield?

There are options, whether you choose to believe it or not the crux here is we definitely aren't moving Caufield or Suzuki now if we let KK go
