Description
Elias Salomonsson ;)
The four best teams in Atlantic are so good that MTL don’t have much chance to make the playoffs.

That’s why I would like to see MTL retool for a year.
Eichel is the best option for a retool this year considering his neck injury. Montreal have good young players and a lot of picks that BUF needs.

MTL also have good retail players like Chiarot, Lehkonen and Kulak. For those three, I think the trade partners are great fit.

I could see NJ take a chance on Drouin as their 2nd LW and Armia as their 3rd RW.

No way Devils give up a first and Kuokkanen for Armia and Drouin

Drouin has little to no value
Armia isn't needed in NJ with Sharangovich, Bratt, Holtz, and possibly Mercer/Clarke on the roster

I think Drouin makes sense in NJ, but for nowhere near that price

I think buffalo says no. That amount of retention costs at least 2 of those firsts, and the rest of the package seems light.

Drouin is already having a value increase. After a 20ish games, he could easily be interesting for a lot of teams. I added Armia in the trade because I think NJ could cause a suprise this year and their weakness for me it is the 3rd RW and the 2nd LW.

Totally agree with you NJ RW situation in a long term plan! smile

Could work on the pick trades but that’s kind of price for rentals at the TDL :/

Could lower the retention a bit. However, on BUF side, I think they need to retain on Eichel to maximise his value. They are clearly heading toward a rebuilding phase and won’t have cap problems untils 4-5 years. Harris is a really solid prospect. One of the best Dman in the NCAA. Farrell just had an amazing season in the USHL with Chicago. One of them could easily be a top 6/Top4 in a near future. Ylonen is a good prospect that could play right away!

Nope. Everything heavily favors montreal. Jersey giving up their first for that? Get real.

Like I said, Drouin’s value will be increasing with the start of the season. A top 6 with some potential and a solid top 9 will get you a valuable asset back. Palmieri and Zajac got a 1st and 4th. Younger non-UFA good contracts will at least get hou something similar.

Lekhonen for a 3rd and a 5th it favors Montreal? Montreal got a 36 year old rental in Staal for that price last TDL.

Chiarot played big minutes in the playoffs two 2nd is clearly not that bad. If TBL acquired Savard with a retention for a 1st and a 3rd and don’t see why 2 x 2nd it is bad.

3 1st et 3 B prospect is better than a lot of offers I saw.

Bring me some arguments and actual trades abd we could talk.
