Instead of Guhle can it be you 2022 first?

The Sabres don't touch that as the package starts with both Suzuki and Caufield

I don’t think that’s what they meant haha. They would definitely want Romonov instead of Guhle, and probably a good forward prospect, would be the start, which I don’t think they have anymore since Kotkaniemi is gone… they probably won’t want to get rid of Caufield which may be a problem.

I’m also leaning towards mtl taking picks from Caroline and then shopping for a C. Obviously eichel is a major catch. I’d hate to see Ylonen and Guhle go as I like both of them.

It’s going to be interesting to see what Habs do.

Don’t think BUF gets Caulfield, but *maybe* Suzuki. Course, doing that will probably cut back on some of the draft capital going BUF’s way.

Feels like the market is souring on Eichel a bit; but, I’d love this. CAR throws a 🖕 to MTL, only for them to throw a 🖕 back and use it to get Eichel.

First round draft picks are nice but not one that is 3 years away.
@Hockey247 The draft may be in Montreal but where do you think Montreal finishes in the Atlantic without Kotkaniemi.
Jack is still young and MTL would have two solid centers for several years if they made this deal.

Buffalo fans get over it, Montreal is not going to trade Suzuki nor Caufield.
So let's move on from that.

The MTL first of 2024 has to be replaced with the 2022 first. Karmanos would not want to wait nearly six years to receive a benefit from trading Jack.
I would have insisted upon the MTL first from this year, but what was Bergevin thinking with that pick?
Guhle, and Ylönen while decent prospects with about a 70% chance of making it to the NHL as third line forwards, Romanov has to be included in place of Guhle.
I know Buffalo fans will cry fowl as it appears that the LHD is set for the next 8 years, but he is the best Montreal young player after Suzuki and Caufield.
Buffalo most likely is also set for RW prospects having drafting 3 of them among the first 34 picks over the past 2 years.
I would want Joni Ikonen in place of Ylonen.

    The trade is now
Drouin, Romanov, Ylonen, MTL 2022 first, CAR 2022 first, MTL 2023 first, CAR 2022 3rd.
I think more would need to be added but this is at least acceptable.
Four near first round picks, a cap dump and a throw in.

First off, everyone you tagged are not Sabres fans. Also, you don't have to trade Suzuki and Caufield. You are not getting Eichel either. A package for Eichel starts with Suzuki and Caufield, not just one of them
