Description

Holland likely would not do this deal even though he should. Ducks would likely ask for either Broberg or Holloway plus a first with MK going as well. And that’s if John Gibson wants out like has been rumoured.
I really really wanted the Oilers to take either Sebastian Cossa or Jesper Wallstedt in the draft this year as I believed either G could eventually develop into what JG is now.

If Edmonton were in the Eastern Conference, then the ask would probably be Holloway or Yamamoto, Broberg or Bouchard, and the 2022 first. But considering that Edmonton is in our division, it's unlikely that you'd get off that easy.

That seems like a crazy amount to give up for a goalie they just don’t command those types of returns. Take out Samorukov and one of those firsts and that seems more realistic foundation to start the negotiations.
