I mean, if it were me, I'd want something extra for taking on the Drouin/Byron contracts, but the idea of giving Cozens a guy like Caufield to play with sounds nice.

Not realistic, Montreal's hosting the draft so they very likely wont move their 1st, can't see them entertaining a trade involving CC either. Buffalo probably wont trade Eichel within the division too.

Habs can probably land Kuzy though

I mean they can easily swap their own first for 2023+ and that solves that issue. I know Buffalo probably wants 2022. As far as inter division, I dont really see that as a huge issue personally, but obviously im not the GM so my opinion doesn't matter. As far as value i thinks its very fair.

Yes Drouin is seen as a dump right now, I still believe in the guy. In the right spot i think hes still a very very good player. I mean other than the covid seasons hes a 40-60 point guy. Thats not bad at all.

Drouin Cozens Caufield? that would be insane

My main concern would definitely be Drouin, though if you can get him back on the straight and narrow, you might be able to build some trade value up there. I'd just be worried that he hasn't grown up.

    Good comments.
I think Buffalo will need to take cap away for the team to get him.
So Drouin and Byron are just the price of doing business.
If Montreal does not want to give up their first from this year, then they could replace it with their first from 2020 Guhle or their second from 2018 Romanov.

Think that's more in-line with where I was going...If you're giving up Caufield and 2 x 1st, maybe more of a mid-tiered prospect than Romanov/Guhle, but yeah, some sort of little treat.
