Eichel no caufieldsuzuki

Created by: Hockey247
Team: 2021-22 Montreal Canadiens
Initial Creation Date: Aug. 31, 2021
Published: Aug. 31, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I think sabres mngmt need to accept that they will not get a player like suzuki/caufield for Eichel. Instead take these unprotected 1st rd picks. habs may miss the playoffs next year. it could be a very high pick.
Sabres get 3 1st rd picks (none of them top 10 protected) + 2nd rd pick + two 3rd picks + Drouin and lehkonen (cap purposes) + Alexander Romanov.

Montreal is about to lose their biggest trade piece if they wanted Eichel. Romanov isn’t a roster fit in the future.

I won't argue with you, however I am not sure the Sabres would really be interested in Kotkaniemi. He is a solid prospect, but he also hasn't done much yet and has received many chances to do so. He can be wildly inconsistent at both ends of the ice. He also has serious skating issues. There was a reason why he was sent to Laval and was a healthy scratch in the finals. He also has had a sense of entitlement that most pundits would agree he hasn't really earned yet. I myself was more than nervous for their center depth with him as their 2c, and I've have, for the past two seasons, wondered if he'll ever reach his potential and, at the very least, become a second line center (Personally, I see him as somewhere in between). Yes, he has size, and yes he was drafted 3rd overall, but those traits aren't what gets you paid $6.1 million, and getting outplayed by their fourth line center sure wouldn't either.

I don't think Eichel is getting traded anytime soon: I cannot imagine a team would be willing to give that much of their present and future away without knowing that Eichel will both play again and play at the level that warrents a $10 million per season paycheck. I feel terrible for the fans in Buffalo. I really do. It can't be fun. BUT you have the Bills, and they look outstanding. smile

a top prospect in a role that Buffalo does not need as they have Dahlin and Power already in their plans for the future

First, Wow five picks added in 2022, two first, a second (six picks in the first two rounds) and two thirds.
That makes my day start off great right away.
Then for desert I get a first in 2023 as well.
Second, before the draft the Sabres had Dahlin (a first over all), Bryson (only Ristolainen had more SH TOI ), and Samuelsson (a defensemen no Sabre ACGM seems to want to trade), yet the Sabres chose Power with their first over all pick.
If the 2023 first is the desert after a full meal, then Romanov is the after diner cordial, while Drouin and Lehkonen are the night caps.
IMO beyond a doubt the best MTL offer I have seen on this site.
Drouin would allow me as the Sabre GM to trade Olofsson.
If Drouin does well, I look as I am a hockey genius. If he falls flat on his face, then I have solidified last over all and earned more assets from the Olofsson trade.
While I am exaggerating a little, a 2022 second is more valuable than a 2023 first because the player will be ready sooner and the draft is deeper.
Show me the paper work while I work on Jacks travel visa.

plus drouin is a ufa after next year. if he doesn't work out, you let him walk. if he works out, you can always flip him at the tdl by retaining his salary. win win.
