I could see Drury giving Chytil, a 1st round pick and a good prospect like Zack Jones, but not Lundquist or Schneider.

If Chytil and a first is there I don’t think Lundkvist or Schneider would be necessary. Zach Jones seems like a great fit value wise but is there any forward prospects similar value on NYR?

I’d say the trade happens 50% retained at around 30-50 games before TDL once the Sharks know where they stand roughly

One good comp IMO is the second Matt Duchene trade between Ottawa and Columbus.

Minnesota isn't doing this. They aren't trading a top 4d , and prospect, and 1st round pick for Him. He's a rental, so no he's not worth that. Minnesota won't trade for rental either. Take out Calen addison, and you are cloose

Its a good comp, obviously some salary would have to be moved specifically for BOS but in terms of comparing deals to deals i think most of these are accurate. Duchene is probably the closest in terms of comparison - but that was also a deadline deal and Duchene had 58 points in 50 games at that point.

The Rangers are thinner with forward prospects than they are on D, so I think Drury would be much more willing to give up Jones. Guys like Barron and Henriksson are centers, which the Rangers need to keep developing. Hertl is definitely worth trying to trade for though. Rangers could really use him and put this Jack Eichel nonsense to bed.

Maybe if it were Hertl at 50% retention, adding a 3rd round pick for the retention, and adding John Moore to package above.

The comps I always go with are the 2019 Duchene and 2020 Hall deals

              This is an awesome thread
