Nichuskin, Murray, and Kuemper likely get much bigger contracts than that (certainly if they stay healthy in Kuemper and Murray's case).

Not a fan of the Strome signing at all.

i didnt really focus on the money and i forgot to add the trade to sign and retain him strom is younger and has a higher celing with the avs imo

this is also kinda reliaing on are prospcects to be able to play on 3rd and 4th line

why did you not bring back georgiev? I'd prefer him in back up over johansson

Maybe if newhook doesn't pan out as a top 6... but if he does you've left 16ish maybe 17 mill if the cap goes up to sign mackinnon, byram, newhook and jost while lowballing kuemper and possibly burakovsky(if he has a solid year)

say mak is signed for 11 mill 5 mil free and his 6 mill contract we only need to resign byram and newhook the johanson contract is over and the mcdermin too thats and extra 2 mil and any extra we can sign josty

You signed burky which maybe be an underpayment depending on his season but let's say it's not.. you're still looking at 17 miil tops to sign 3 key players.. one of which could be the leagues next top paid player

No need to sign Strome. The money will be better used elsewhere.

If all goes as planned, Newhook will be the 2C. Jost fits well as 3C.

I don't think it's likely Murray stays more than the one year. He is just a stop gap until Barron is ready

The wing spots can be filled with Ranta, Kaut, and Foudy.

what if newhook has a bad year jost isnt a great 2nd center its not guaranty that newhook will be good

The wing spots can be filled with Ranta, Kaut, and Foudy.

Strome isnt very good at Center, I wouldnt target him as a 2C, and at that cost, just sign Kadri back.

Im pretty confident that Newhook will be better at playing Centre than Strome
