Bobby Ryan could be a good pickup, I just don't think there's enough interest for him around the league now that teams have filled out their rosters. Galchenyuk played well in Toronto last season so he might be a fit for the Leafs, if that's what you're looking for

Personally I’m not that invested in whether the Leafs pick someone up or not. I was just curious why so many decent players are left unpicked this late in the offseason. Definitely agree about Ryan and Galch. Surprised nobody said Donato, the guy can at least score

It happens every offseason, a few guys that are worthy of NHL jobs don't end up getting one and have to decide whether to play overseas or retire (depending on their age). I think the reason there are more of them this offseason is because of the flat cap and the big contracts being given out. For every bad contract that gives a player more than they're worth, another contract goes unsigned due to the lack of space it creates. Sad but true.

No, I don't love the lack of LD depth should on of the top guys go down or Sandin having some growing pains.

IMO they play is to trade Kerfoot, that gives you the cap space to keep your depth and even add if need be.

Chiasson for his physical play maybe good to have come playoff time
