I've seen this Dermott to NYI for a pick in a lot of ACGMs. I don't really mind it if the pick is high enough.

Or the leafs can keep dermott who is bettet than demers and keep the ahl goon in the ahl

im fine with dermott going for a second or smtg of equivalent value. we do get worse tho. so is there anyone better than demers we could sign. maybe vatanen, gubranson or gustafsson?

Why trade dermott at all? He is one of the better 3rd pairing d in the league, but is young and has chance to improve. I know cap space is valuable but $1.5M for a guy that is solid on 3rd pair but that can move up if needed is good value.

That doesnt make him a 2nd pair dman. And i wouldnt want him playing 2nd pair, i would only trade for him to play 3LD with mayfield so greene doesnt play everyday.
