Devils don't need Couture.
Probably wouldn't be in top-6 (Hughes and Hischier will be there).
So, an $8 million x 6 years for a 32-year old declining 3C, should probably cost much less.
Perhaps even San Jose moves assets to New Jersey to take the contract.
At the very least, retain 50% of Couture's salary for that price.
