No chance Ottawa trades for Jonathan Drouin, he's just too far from being a complete player.
Also, no chance they're interested in trading 2 key players (and cheap!) in Zub and Brown for Tarasenko, a player owed 15 M$ for the next 2 years and who has only played 34 games in 2 years.
That defense is horribad and I really don't like hyperbole lol
Gotisbehere is like the last partner Chabot needs. Really doubt Ottawa has any interest in him
Mete is fine on the 3rd pairing but asking more is putting him in a bad position.
Brannstrom also needs the "right partner" and it won't be Mete.
Conclusion : this proposed line-up would probably be much better on the PP, but overall worse than what they're going to ice this year.

also you want to hand batherson a longer deal. kid is a gem. im thinking 6-7 year deal 4-5m range
He's trading Batherson for Laine in this scenario

Idk if it's a hot take or not, but I wouldn't move Batherson to get Laine. Laine has an all world shot, but he's a one trick pony.
I also doubt the Sens would do it. They put a lot of emphasis on "the way they want to play". Probably too much sometimes, but unless Laine start showing a different overall game, I doubt he's a player they'd target. They are understandably very high on Batherson too and if we look at only last season, everybody would take Batherson over Laine.
But that being said, Laine for Batherson + 2nd would be very hard to pass up. Another problem though is the money Laine think he's worth
