I realize your title says this is wishful thinking lol but I don't see any chance WPG moves Dubois...at least not within the next couple seasons.

As much as I love PLD and think he will return to form in the coming seasons, that is a good package for him and it makes the decision super tough. If you were to remove brook and guhle, the two mid tier prospects and add 1 blue chip prospect I would do it if I am Chevy and I have at least a notion that PLD may not re-sign in Winnipeg. His dad does work for our AHL team so im sure that makes this trade less likely.

This website is meant for fun and hypothetical situations. But it really is crazy to me how so many people seem to have this notion that WPG wants to get rid of PLD after only his half season in WPG. I think they gave up to much for him to give up on him so darn early.

Since this makes the Jets worse this year it is an easy no, despite all the value that is there.

We have a 3 year window here where it is clear we are trying to win the cup. This trade hurts us in the next 3 years so it's a no.

There is definitely no chance Winnipeg even looks at this deal. They have no reason or desire to trade their 2C and know exactly how hard it is to find one and how expensive they are to acquire. Especially with an extension already in place in your deal.

Your deal also does nothing for Winnipeg. The firsts and seconds are nice, but Winnipeg is competing now and not rebuilding, so they wouldn't be anything Winnipeg is looking for as main pieces. Guhle is an LD and would be 6th on the Jets left side, so adds little value or need for Winnipeg. Brook is 22 and hasn't shown much and would be 5th on the Jets right side, so again little value or need for the Jets. Armia is a 3W, which isn't what Winnipeg would be looking for as the main roster player coming back when they're moving their 2C. A 3W can be acquired for much cheaper and are far easier to find than a 1B or 2C.
