i dont think Dallas takes Kassian's cap hit. I also dont think edmonton wants to trade kassian unless he is just terrible. I don't think kassian will be bad if we have fans in the stands and his wife doesnt have another kid.

NSH bought out Turris. I don't think they can reacquire him.

Keep JP on the 1st. also, Oilers aren't trading Kass. he's basically untouchable right now.

Really digging deep into the couch cushions to find something to offer for Ekholm, huh? NSH declines.

They could sign him the following year technically. Fans sure wouldn't like it. I myself would rather see Samorukov brought up than trade for ekholm. I think the right side needs help rather than the left.

It's not that teams haven't brought players back, but I can't think of a time a team bought a player out then brought him back. I'm sure it's an easy tweak to the trade, but I just don't think they'd realistically bring him back.

If we were to trade Dobby it would be to get rid of cap. Plus we have like a million grit grinders no need for more.

I don't think nashville trades him they made their trades already. He's a legit shutdown second pairing i think it starts with a first.

These would all be great acquisitions but I don't think the Oilers side is giving close to market value on the Dallas and Nashville deals. Arizona one isn't far off... if Arizona is contemplating trading Dvorak for 1st + 3rd, Edmonton is proposing equivalent of a 1st + 2nd with the cap hit of Koskinen only needing to be swallowed for 1/4 of a season which is pretty minimal.

I dont think edmonton is looking for forwards anymore to be honest.

I don't disagree. Defense/goaltending is much more likely to be our issue, was just more so commenting on trade value.
