Seems like the Canes already have a long term agreement with KK with a estimated 4M$ cap hit after this year. If that's the deal, and if Bergevin can agree to the same term with him, then why not!

I was ready to let him go, but didn't realize that he'll cost 6.1 min if he reaches RFA by end of year and that they could sign him for less before... Either way, they can do the same deal or grab the 1st and 3rd and trade them with other picks for players that are available.
