I love the trade, but Avs probably have to include a little something going back (a la Chris Bigras). I also doubt the Habs are eager to give up two defensive prospects. More likely is Sergachev, Scherbak, and the 1st

I am ok with that but the issue is the cap space. I know that the Avs don't want to retain but they might have to in order to fit.

Mtl 1st rounder wont be that high and it is a weak draft so there is that.

Beaulieu is gone...mark my words, he will be gone by tomorrow.

Sergachev is what they want. I don't want to move him either from a Habs standpoint but you have to give to get.

Colorado is in no hurry to move Duchene but GMMB is in dire need up an upgrade in the middle.

By the time Sergachev becomes and NHL top 4 guy the window for MTL will be closing or closed already.

How do Avs fans feel about retention. And perhaps a person who has more "capology" experience could pipe in on how Duchene can fit.

Does www.capfriendly.com have a deadline calculator that I am missing??
