KK has not said he wanted out of MTL, he said he wasn't happy about being benched during finals. Here, Habs give him first line center, he gets his wish. Worst scenario, he doesn't live up to expectations, he doesn't sign long term, he goes back to RFA and habs decide to let him go then and he gets low balled by other teams or he gets another OS at the end of the year...

He doesn't go to RFA if he doesn't sign an extension unless Montreal has offered him his 6.1 QO next year. If Montreal doesn't give him his QO or sign him beforehand, he goes UFA.

Reports are that someone "close" to him said he said "he may have played his last game for the Habs" he has not said anything to the media, neither has MB or any other Canadiens representative or KK's agent. The ONLY people who have said anything are the media and the Canes.

If somebody offers you a deal like that in his position and includes a structure like that you’re not telling them to change the offer bc you don’t want to hurt somebody’s feelings in mtl. You sign the deal.

If he gave a crap about the habs he probably would have asked to not be involved in their trolling. They would have signed him without the signing bonus.

Why do players have to care about the emotions of a team and front office that treats everything as a business? It’s a two way street. You don’t stare 6M in the face when you’re getting a third of that from your own team and ask them to change the structure of the deal. If you do that’s idiotic.
