Description

If nothing else presents itself for acquring a C. Strome for a 2nd possibly a 1st gives the Wild more possiblities at C. Dumping Rask makes the cap workable for 2021. Hoping for Rossi, Boldy, and Addison to be able to stay on the NHL roster and hopefully blossom. Should be a fair offer for Strome to help the Hawks cap room.

I don’t think a conditional 1st for Strome makes sense unless the Hawks actually view him as a top 9 piece that would otherwise play for them. There is just too much risk involved with him and offering the condition really reduces the value of the return.

I would think if this trade was made and Strome played for the Wild all season and scored 55+ points during the season. The Wild would be happy with the trade. If he doesn't score 55, whatever he does produce might warrant a 2nd rounder.

I know it's minor details but you usually have to pay a team to take unwanted cap. Send Detroit a third or something to take on rasks contact.
