You’ll need another 2 million for mcavoy, but i think bergeron might take less.

That is a preposterous amount to give up for hertl as a rental.

It says there is an extension in the trade.

Ya i saw that. He’s got one year left. If they work out an extension after the fact that’s fine, but they’re trading for one year, and that’s his value. This isn’t the draft floor. Training camp is starting soon.

Oh, don't mind him, he's got some kind of massive issue against Hertl - he thinks he's a 3rd line center who isn't worth more than $6m a year and has negligible trade value.

Don Sweeney will not give Mac -11mil a year. 9 is the highest I think he will go. I think he’d let him walk before giving him that much.

He’s worth 11. He should get 11. As to letting him go before giving him that much: that’s the dumbest idea that anyone has ever had. Congrats. He’s their best player, and number one d men don’t show up very often.

Once Bergeron retires McAvoy will be the unquestioned heart and soul of the Bruins. He is just entering his prime years and he is worth 11M based upon what other defensemen have recently signed for. In fact within three or fours of signing that will be a bargain contract for the Bruins. If he walks so does Don Sweeney plain and simple.
